Must-have skills
- Prior hands-on experience in AI agent or automation workflows
- Strong working knowledge of GitHub (branches, commits, pull requests, review basics)
- TypeScript and/or Python coding confidence
- Ability to reason about OpenClaw code behavior (control flow, tools, retries, execution lifecycle)
- Clear written communication for debugging and evaluation notes
Good-to-have
- Experience with LLM prompt orchestration and tool-calling patterns
- Experience with evaluation loops, trace logging, and failure analysis
- Exposure to API integrations and long-running task reliability patterns
Responsibilities
- Develop agent task flows for production use-cases
- Improve reliability, retry behavior, and observability of agent runs
- Analyze failed executions and propose concrete fixes
- Collaborate with product and engineering to prioritize high-impact automations
OpenClaw behavior screening
- Share GitHub links to agent/automation or AI engineering projects
- Complete a short OpenClaw behavior analysis exercise with improvement suggestions
- Explain your approach to handling tool failures, retries, and guardrails
Candidates should be able to explain agent flow, tool-call behavior, failure handling, retries, and practical improvement strategies from code.
